Gira HomeServer/FacilityServer app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad

The new Gira HomeServer/FacilityServer apps enable convenient mobile operation of the entire technology of a building – with an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, via GSM, UMTS or WLAN, and from inside or outside the building. They communicate with the Gira HomeServer 3 or FacilityServer. This is a simple and elegant way of operating complex building technology while away or from any room at home. The application, or "app", acts as a client, communicating with the Gira HomeServer 3 or FacilityServer: the Gira Interface optimised for the touch screen displays all functions clearly and concisely, enabling their quick access. The display is either horizontal or vertical and can be modified by simply rotating the device. For example, two different views can be generated via user administration: indoors and outdoors. The apps are available exclusively in the Apple iTunes Store.

Available starting 08/2010

Main menu

The main menu displays all building functions. Date, current time, current temperature and active functions can be seen via the status bar. The lower navigation bar enables returning to the main menu at any time.

Room list

All rooms of a building are arranged according to floors and displayed in the room list. When a list item is touched, an overview of all applications installed in the room is opened.

Room functions

All devices in a room and their status can be seen at a glance. In this way, lights for example can be switched on and off with one touch or blinds raised and lowered.

Single-room temperature control

With more complex functions, e.g. control of heating, a pop-up window is opened from the room view. Adjustments can then be made.

Room functions with time clock

If the device is rotated by 90°, the landscape mode opens a further view of the time clock functions.

Time clock

The time clock makes a range of filter functions available that enable the adaptation of functions to personal requirements. Random values are also possible.

Detection and evaluation of consumption data functions with the aid of graphs. Various values can be displayed according to year, month, day and hour.

Diagrams with multi-touch function

If the device is rotated by 90°, the diagram last active is shown in landscape mode and can visualise temperature differences, for example via multi-touch.

The message lists display alarm messages, measurement values and conditions of devices and contacts integrated in the system.

Weather data

The data from a weather station can be read, for example wind speed, precipitation and temperatures. In addition, the water level of cisterns or the energy generation of photovoltaic systems can be viewed.

Seeing who is in the garden or at the gate with one operational step: views from various cameras on the grounds can be called up.
